Mark Scudder Posted March 8, 2009 Share Posted March 8, 2009 I'm using Live right now for my live setup and I'd like to investigate using Mainstage. My only concern is I like to record my shows, and in Live I can get dry recordings per-input that I can mix later if I want to use them for anything. I know Mainstage doesn't record, but I wondered if there was an app that could record what's going on in my inputs and yet let Mainstage have them too. MBP 15" 2.4, PreSonus Firepod. Thanks. Bassmang5 Posted March 14, 2009 Share Posted March 14, 2009 I did a quick test and it let me record. If you want to record your main out that might be tricky but should be do able. If you are only using a stereo single stereo pair out you should be able to split it. send one pair to the sound board and the other pair back into your recording interface where logic is listening for it. I can't say this an intended application of the two programs but it should work. Also it might depend on what kind of instruments and controllers you are using.
