Saxadelic
I'm desperate to record with my macbook using the build-in line input but in the Logic Audio setup there is no option to select this input. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? thx Martin
David Nahmani
We can't help without even knowing which mac you have! Please consider adding your Logic version and system info to your signature: Read Me Before Posting - Forum Guidelines (#5)
mta7388
Are you sure you're looking under: Prefernces>Audio>Devices>Device: There should be the option "Built-in Input" Also in your System Preferences, go to Sound, and make sure Line In is selected under the Input tab. David Nahmani
Also in your System Preferences, go to Sound, and make sure Line In is selected under the Input tab. To Logic it does not matter what you choose in your System Preferences. System Preferences are for your system sounds, Logic preferences for the Logic sound. David Nahmani
Is there a "devices" menu there? What is the "Enabled" box checked? What happens when you click the "devices" menu?

In Logic 7 the menu is called "driver". Same thing.

shivermetimbers
You want to change things in your AUDIO/MIDI set found in your Application utilities section.
Music Spirit
You also want to open your main System Preferences and click on Sound - there you will be able to see if your built in mic on whatever Mac you are using is working and adjust a few options
