anthonymunoz
Is there any way to save midi regions in a list, so that they can be used by dragging and dropping? I see that you can do this with audio and loops. I cant seem to find any info on this, but it seems that this would be a basic function. Thanks. Frances O
I have a MIDI folder set up in LOGIC folder. I export regions as MIDI files to the folder. The MIDI folder is available in the Media tabs under Browser on the right of arrange window and I can drag midi files into new projects. Hope this is clear and helps? anthonymunoz
Thanks for that info. It will work perfectly for what I need. One question: Where is the LOGIC folder on your system? Under applications I only have the LOGIC application file. Thanks for your help.
anthonymunoz
Another question about that.... Can you preview those midi files without dragging them into the browser?
Frances O
Hi LP8 program is in the apps folder. However I have a Logic folder for all projects - Home>Music>Logic>Midi, Audio, Old Vinyl, Compositions etc Sorry, I have no way to preview MIDI. I drag into Logic or import from Media tab. David Nahmani
If you want a preview function, your best bet is to save green apple loops rather than MIDI files. Green apple loops have an audio preview so you don't need to load anything in Logic before you can preview. To save a green Apple Loop, place a MIDI region on a software instrument track with a software instrument plug-in, select that region and choose Region > Add to Apple Loops Library. You then use the Loops browser to browse and preview your green apple loops.
