thomas_delonge
I recently recorded some audio on a Mac G5 Running Logic 6.4 then tranferred to recorded the audio recorded to a PC and cannot get the audio files to play in any program. The tracks have no file extension and still wont play if i change them to .wav or .aif files which they should be. Every program says the files are corrupt but i klnow theyre not. I didnt bounce the audio in logic i just copied the audio tracks. Anyone know of a way to get these files to play? Thanks Tom
David Nahmani
Are you sure the extensions are correct? I mean, if the files are SDII, adding .wav or .aif wouldn't help Windows figure it out. First thing would be to figure out what type of PCM the files are: .wav, .aif, or .sdii? Then add the right extension and see if that works. I've never had a problem opening a mac audio recording onto a PC, so it should work: don't give up!
thomas_delonge
i dont know what the file extensions are suppose to be. when i record on logic 5.5 on a pc it saves the audio as wav. but i thought on a mac it would be .aif. i tried .sdii and it didnt work. also when i copied the files over i ended up with 2 files on the pc.... ._bass#07 - 43kb and the larger bass#07 - 10mb
David Nahmani
Have you tried .sd2? Also, post in the PC forum, maybe some users over there would know?
Xenos
If I understand this correctly, you're not sure what format it's saving the files as on the Mac. It may be that I've misunderstood this but if not: Select the file in the Finder and choose File > Get Info. Click Name & Extension and deselect the "Hide extension" checkbox. Please ignore if I've misconstrued.
