PMedia
Hi All, I'm trying to make the Caps Lock keyboard transmit on different midi channels. I've been trying to use an Environment fader to do this. I'm hoping I can create an easy-to-use interface to quickly change the channel. Am I on the right track? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Mike
ski
Create a transformer. On the big rectangular thingee called the Physical Input, run a cable from the CapLock output to the transformer. In the transformer's bottom row, set the channel to (whatever). Cable the output of the transformer to the Sequencer Input object. If you need to change the channel on the fly, post back and I'll tell you how to set up a fader (or knob) to change the channel without having to open up the transformer over and over again. ski
You're welcome! Attached is a Logic file which'll do the job. Note that you may have to re-wire the Caps Lock output to the transformer. Every system is different. Below is a screenshot of what my Phys. Input looks like. If you don't have exactly the same setup as I do, or, if you don't have exactly the same number of devices, the position of the Caps Lock output of the Phys. Input may be in a different place on your system. If that's the case, just delete the existing cable that goes from the Phys. Input to the transformer and cable a new one from your Caps Lock output to the transformer. CapsLock MIDI Channel Changer.logic.zip
