So what does the New mac pro say for us logic users?

I have been waiting to see what apple will release in replacement of the G5.

 

What does everyone here think in regards to this Mac Pro Dual-Core with Intel Xeon "Woodcrest" processors?

I think it's really promising. As usual, I'll wait a couple of months before even considering using a brand new machine as my main music station, but it looks great on paper.

 

I love the ability to have 4 hard drives inside your machine. Since 750GB drives have been out for a few months already, I'm not sure why the maximum storage is advertised as 2TB and not 3TB.

 

I'm surprised (and excited) to see that for the first time, Apple takes us composers into consideration in their advertising!

Yeah very promising, i wonder how far digidesign will go now with this been competition.

 

I m guessing so much more DSP power will only need good audio convertors next to match it all., and you have something much better then a Digi HD system

I found it surprising to see that all the new Digidesign screenshots have been made in Windows XP.

I am, however, really, really excited about Leopard, Spaces and the Time Machine. I can't wait.
