Ultrabeat starts playing when changing from Layout to Edit

I've got a patch with an instance of Ultrabeat on a channel strip that's set up to begin playing when I click on a button I've placed in the interface. The button is mapped to the power switch on the UB interface - and it's just turning on a sequence in UB.

When I change views - i.e. from Layout mode to Edit mode or Edit mode to Layout mode - UB starts playing the sequence without clicking the button. When this happens - the "Ultrabeat -Play/Stop" button I'm using won't always stop UB from playing. At that point, I have to go to the UB channel strip, open the UB interface and click the power off button on the interface. Annoying and time-consuming.

I know that I could avoid this by bouncing a track of audio from a fully sequenced Ultrabeat track in Logic - then importing that track as audio into a Playback instance, etc.

Anybody else run into this kind of behaviour? Does anybody know a way to stop this without bouncing a track and using that?

I don't see that here. I've just tried it. Started with an empty layout, added one button, one patch, using UB, turned on the sequencer, mapped the button to the play/stop control in the UB sequencer.

When I switch from layout to edit (or any other mode) it will not start by itself. However, if I start it playing, switch to layout, it turns off, then when I return to edit mode, it picks up the position and keeps playing. So, seems to be have like I thought.

Maybe attach your concert. I'd love to know more about the problem.

I'll try to get to posting the concert this weekend. I could also add that for the first few times I used the patch - I didn't get the bad behavour. Haven't had time to test this out in a new patch.

I'll report back when I have some time to test again.
