themiddleman
Anybody got any nuggets of wisdom regarding twaeking OSX to get better performance for doing music only on your computer? I've disabled Widgets to free up more RAM but is there anything else anybody can recommend? I'm using a Powerbook G4 1.67 Ghz, 120MB 5200rpm, 2 GB RAM and it's creaking a bit with Logic and Reaktor and I'm having to bounce down every 20 mins. Many thanks Lorin
David Nahmani
There are a few ideas in that thread: http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=1586. Make sure you keep your hard drive less than 70% full. Limiting the number of undo steps (in your Logic preferences) to 1 or 2 can make your system faster.
