Eric Cardenas
??? What is Record Stand By?
fuzzfilth
Without having checked it, I reckon this is the file that's created when you rec arm a track. After you've hit record and hit stop, the file is truncated to its actual length, named acoording to the track and made visible in the Finder. David Nahmani
I can't replicate here (9.1.0) but what Christian said makes sense. The instant you record arm a track, an audio file is created on your hard drive. If you don't actually record anything and try to close the project, maybe that's when Logic asks you what to do with those files - although it seems like it should just erase them without asking you since they're empty and the process should be transparent to the user. wwireless
I realize this is an old thread but I'd like to find the anser to this. There is supposed to be an enable/disable function for Record Standby. I haven't been able to find where that function lives. Anybody? If you press stop, you've disabled it.

edurbrow
I just got a similar message for the first time. "Standby Recording files are deleted automatically when Logic Pro quits, if not moved. Switch off Record-Standby to delete files within Logic Pro." Before that I got a message that such and such standy recording couldn't be found.
