StashO
Hi All, I'm considering getting some other plugs to use besides the ones that come with Logic Pro. I'm not able to get that nice rich warm texture without losing the punch. Some of the ones I read up on seem like toys while others are just way out of my reach cost wise. Any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

David Nahmani
A lot of people can't stop saying good thing about two DSP boxes: UAD cards and Focusrite Liquid Mix. Also, supposedly McDSP is working on AU versions of their plugs!
StashO
Hi David, With the small budget I have, I was wondering more in the line of Nomad Factory's packages such as their Signature Bundle, Essential Bundle, Blue tube Bundle. Has there been much info on these particular plugs?? Thanks!

xpander
StashO, I am also looking for mastering plug-ins. I have a friend who has been using several different ones for about 6 months. He deals with various styles of music and needed a variety of tools for each genre. He recomended that I look into WaveArts PowerSuite Bundle v.5. He made a comment about how all of the plugs are great. TrackPlug 5 has per-channel processing tools in one plug-in. Like a 10 band EQ, dual comps, a gate, with sidechain modes, spectrum analysis and more. The MultiDynamics 5 has six bands of independent compression or expansion. It has "vintage" and "clean" modes. FinalPlug 5 is a peak limiter and volume maximizer that I would probably strap across the main mix bus. Now just those alone would cover my needs, but if you buy the whole bundle you save hundreds of dollars. So even though money is tight for me too, If I wait about a month I'll be able to get the remaining MasterVerb 5, and Panorama 5, a tool for creating 3-D audio effects with environment modeling capabilities, reverb, and the "Doppler" effect. This would come in handy since I am into sound-designing. I apologize for the lengthy responce but I think it's important to get the best bundle I can afford since this is my first step into the art of mastering. Other options I've read about at different forums include T-racks24, PSP's Mix Pack, Izotope Ozone 3, and URS Classic Console Comp. bundle which looks rather tasty as well as being UB AU/VST. Well, I've going on long enough so I'll scram. But if you find a product that you like, please post it here. Thanx!! - xpander
StashO
Echo and Expander, Thanks both of you for your response. Once I decide on something, I will post my findings.
