joeebass
I have been using Cubase for a few years and I just switched to Logic. I have no idea how to add a completely new audio or midi track. When I try, I "create" a track that is tied to an existing track, so any change I make to the track is also made to the already existing track. This is really frustrating to me because it seems like a basic function, and I can't even do it.
ubiqwitus
I always use 'Create Multiple' right under 'Create.' But I'd be curious to learn more about dealing with this problem myself.
David Nahmani
I use Create Multiple as well. You can assign it an easy key command such as 'T' as in Tracks.
Rounik
if i wanna create another audio or midi track i select the last one e.g. audio track 8 in the arrange window and press the key command for >create next track> (shift + ctrl + enter). Is that what you mean? You know you can always hold click on the track name in the arrange window and a drop down menu offers you the choice to convert your existing track into an audio / inst / aux / bus track etc...... hope that helps
David Nahmani
if i wanna create another audio or midi track i select the last one e.g. audio track 8 in the arrange window and press the key command for >create next track> (shift + ctrl + enter). That's what I used to do. Unfortunately, that only works if you didn't rename your Audio Object, since it grabs the next object by alphabetical order. Rounik
ahh really? i'm usually quite lazy about renaming until i'm alot further on in my project - and i tend to colour the regions to help me identify what's what. guess my laziness works in my favour finally!
