marzzz
I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to OSX 10.4.8, and since that time I have been unable to use my AMT8 MIDI interface- it just doesn't show up in Audio MIDI Setup. I have tried reloading drivers, restarting, etc., pretty much everything except completely reloading OSX. I am using Logic 7.2.3 Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do next, short of buying a new Interface (MOTU?)? Thanks....!
David Nahmani
Make sure you installed the latest drivers? (under Logic Pro Links: http://logicprohelp.com/resources.php) My MT4 works fine in 10.4.8, so no reason your AMT shouldn't show up!
marzzz
Make sure you installed the latest drivers? I have loaded EmagicUSBMIDIDriver.plugin ver 1.7, which appears to be the latest. I even trashed and reloaded it to be safe. Thanks!
David Nahmani
Unplug your Interface from the computer then from the power supply. Restart the computer. Plug the power then the USB of the AMT8 in another USB port on your computer. Anything?

And as an aside, I have an M-Audio MIDISport 1x1 which works fine from either USB port of my MBP, as well as a working MIDI port of a MOTU 828 MK II (via FireWire). Strange, isn't it? Musicianista
My AMT8 refused to appear on my iMac 24. I had to replace it with a MOTU Microlite. I tried all the tips and tricks possible. No luck. Go figure...
marzzz
Well, I solved my AMT8 problem- I replaced it with a MOTU MIDI Express XT.
