medics
For some reason the delay plug ins in Logic Pro 9 have started cutting out sound during playback once the delay starts to work. It will then cut back in again after say a bar or 2. Does anybody know why this is happening? We've never had trouble like this before, it's just started out of the blue. Also, when looping a section, we're getting a "chirp" noise when playback goes back to the start of the loop. Any help is appreciated. If there is no audio region on the track following your region that's getting delayed, sometimes Logic will think its OK to idle the processing of that channel strip. This is part of Logic's dynamic allocation of cpu when things are playing or not. While that's a good thing, it can't be all-knowing and one of the consequences is that it will cut processing on a channel that you know it shouldn't. So, to keep Logic thinking that there's really still supposed to be audio there, bounce yourself some empty audio files and place their regions after the region that's being delayed. That keeps the track "live" and you shouldn't experience the drop out. Also, when looping a section, we're getting a "chirp" noise when playback goes back to the start of the loop. Any help is appreciated. This is normal when , for instance, you have some dramatic filter cutoff automation between the cycle points and audio is still going through the filter at the time of the cycle point. The "chirp" is the waveform getting chopped by the filter at that point.
