anamorphis
Hi everyone. First question: I'm a proud and enthusiastic user of Stylus RMX, and I would also be Atmosphere's and Trilogy's, but I have both Intel MacBookPro and iMac, and... you know what's the story, right? What I would like to know is, which Logic instrument do you use to create something close to those Atmosphere Pads? Second question: I'm looking for both xilophone and one of those music boxes sounds. Anyone knows any of these inside Logic? Outside? Where? Thanks a lot. MikeShapiro
Hi everyone. Second question: I'm looking for both xilophone and one of those music boxes sounds. Anyone knows any of these inside Logic? Outside? Where? Thanks a lot. The VSL Pro library has more xylophones that you could ever figure out what to do with. And the celeste sounds (especially the "soft" variant) can easily pass for a music box. Of course, that's a lot of money to lay down for two sounds. arafel
Bolder sounds has put up some Great free sample instruments, even some in EXS format (others in Giga). One of them is a music box (under 'free samples libraries' upper right corner). http://www.boldersounds.com/ I have found their 'granuslar' instruments to be incredible pads too. Atmosphere is a huge instrument, with a massive variety of sound types, so you will need to specify which 'pads' you are trying to recreate with another instrument. Otherwise any response can only guess at which one of the 1000 pad sounds you love.
anamorphis
Well, thanks everyone. The Boldersounds are great. About the Atmosphere pads, I didn't found anything that can compete, a but there are two or three that might help me in the meantime: I'm trying Octopus from Linplug, which has great pads and a lot of other great sounds.
