innercity
Dear all, I am running Logic 9 on my iMac 27'' early 2009 model (dual core intel). More than often my iMac is running out of resources in terms of processing power. So as of now, I am looking for a faster model. The question is: "should I buy an 8-core MacPro or the latest iMac i7? In other words is there a notable difference in normal and extensive Logic operation with regards to the hard- and software synths/ apps I am running. With regards to the Access Virus and my midicontroller it has also often a conflict because of the face they both use the limited usb-ports and its usb-power. My current setup is: iMac 27'' (2009 dual core) - 8 GB RAM Logic 9 Studio Apogee Duet M-Audio AxiomPro 49 Krk Rokit 5 monitor speakers Access Virus TI2 Desktop Spectrsonics Omnisphere, Trillian and Stylus RMX xpanded Sylenth1 Rob Papen Predator Fabfilter Pro-Q, Pro-C, Pro-L, Timeless 2 and Volcano 2 Please share me your opinion and advise. Many thanks in advance.
