shepless
Hi, I just purchased an iMac 24" and ive been into my electronic music production for a good few years now. However since I have only ever owned a PC i was wondering about latency issues if i were to purchase a copy of Logic. Would I need a soundcard (if i can upgrade my mac with a soundcard that is), and if so what soundcards can you recommend? My budget would be in the range of around £150 - 200, Many thanks, Shep
David Nahmani
Do you intend to record audio sources (real instruments, voice..) and if yes which ones? For pure electronic music you can get away with using an inexpensive USB MIDI Controller keyboard (a nice addition to the mouse to program your sequences), your Mac and Logic. shepless
Well id be occassionally recording electric and acoustic guitar, so an audio interface is on the list, but thats not internal. Im meaning latency as in how logic responds? Im not up to speed on Macs as of yet, so is the on board soundcard enough? Cheers
