rickenbacker360
Newbie. First time post. Go easy on my stoopid Logic trick. Had several bad takes in a take folder. Deleted them using Logic (not the Mac OS Finder), played around with the good take and got into a situation where I could not undo a quantize operation on the audio. Quit Logic and did NOT save (thinking I'd revert to the good unaltered take). Of course, same thing could have happened had I had a Logic crash, I suppose. Now whenever I open the project, I get this infernal dialog where I have missing audio files. Of course, I have to "Skip All". Have read Dave's book and Logic manual to no avail and am stumped. QUESTIONS: 1. Is Logic unable to "forget" these missing audio files and stop the startup dialog which asks for them? If there is a way, kindly advise. 2. Since I'm very early in the project, how hard would it be to start a new project and bring in the two surviving intended files *AND* 90+ measures of Superior Drummer MIDI regions (each one separate, one per bar)? How? Thanks.

If there is a way, kindly advise. Locate the reference to the missing files in the audio bin (they will appear with "!" next to them) and delete it. Save the project. 2. How? Use the selective track import feature. J. Edited January 17, 2011 by Jordi Torres
Scott Jackson
Open the Bin by pressing B. In the Bin select Edit>Select Unused Then select Audio File>Delete File(s) If Delete File(s) is grayed back under Audio File then go to File>Project>Clean Up Save Now you should be able to open the project without receiving that Missing Audio Files dialogue box.
