pizzafilms
Anyone have any success (or massive fails) using Automap from a Novation SL Mk II (or similar) with Mainstage? Tips? Gotchas? Thanks!
k.veenvliet
I'm going to try tonight with a nocturn and MainStage 1. MainStage 2 is on the way. What version of MainStage are you using?

mmm42
Anyone have any success (or massive fails) using Automap from a Novation SL Mk II (or similar) with Mainstage? MainStage supports any controller that does MIDI, or at least has a CoreMIDI driver.
k.veenvliet
Mine worked like a charm. When you learn a button in MainStage which is set to Momentary on the Nocturn, make sure to set the value type to Absolute or Press on/off, instead of Relative it sets it on after the learn... I've got a question to the MainStage 2 users, is it possible to send the value of a rond knob to the Nocturn to update its led-ring, on a patch change? Doug Z
I had a Novation keyboard for a while and what worked best is to have a generic MIDI template to use. That way each slider, knob, etc has its own CC value. Other templates tend to have multiple sliders or whatever sharing the same CC number. In MainStage this means they would all control the same mapped screen control, as its mapping is determined by CC number..
