JaiKai
I recently found some Mackie MR5's for £214 and was wondering whether they are worth the money, or is there any other monitors to match that price but better quality? JaiKai
s#!+ son if I could afford £600 for a pair of A7's I'd get them over the Mackies for sure lmao. I'm talking for the same price range of the Mackies, and don't say KRK's I don't like them much haha

oilpanic
I have heard the small mackies are better sounding then the larger ones. At that price point Im sure they will be ok. But if you want to go cheap why not just get a pair of small good hifi speakers? Many companies tries to get flat sounding monitors for home theater today. And then you will have a basic reference for when you get some real studio monitors.
MrKat
Actually, I use a pair of Spirit Absolute Zero's which are very good... and cheap, I think I got them for about 50 quid on ebay last year.
