hookedonhydro
I know there are two or three applications that do this, Widi being one that is most popular for the OS X platform so I figured I would see what would happen if I imported a audio file, opened it in the score window and exported as midi. It did what I wanted, but it wasn't that accurate and it wasn't on an complex piece, it was simply a piano playing with an underlying bass riff of one or two notes repeating. Maybe 4 seconds of a sample this was performed on. Any tips or ideas on how this can be done and also sync to tempo of the currently opened project? djbabyboi
for what you want to do, i think the best solution is to check out celemony's Melodyne editor. you can do a lot with it but it works best with single instruments, but you can try it and see how it works for you. so basically this program can take polyphonic audio tracks and convert them into midi
hookedonhydro
Interesting program, if it functions, I read a lot of reports that using it in standalone is the way to go. Im about to check it out, it looks like it puts the audio in a piano roll format, very cool, ty
