jolyon
i am hearing no sound from logic, no in or out. please can someone advise what i need to do to make this work, i think it is something basic, and i have tried to google the problem but can not find succesfull solution. i know it is concerned with this error message. Core Audio: no driver selected. (10201) i have no audio driver and am trying to use the macbook pro internal audio set up. is this possible? do i have to upgrade logic? install some drivers? do i have to set up midi? any advice much appreciated. zim

involver
Wow! Logic 6 is 7 years old! Have you looked in the audio preferences in logic and chosen built-in audio?

jolyon
mac osx version. 10.5. processor. 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo memory. 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM i am worried that maybe when i installed logic i did not configure right or something.
beej
Logic 6 is a PPC application, it has code for the old PPC style processors, not code for your Intel processor machine. It will be running emulated under Rosetta, which basically means bad things. You should buy a recent version of Logic that is designed to run on the machine you currently have. beej
You have Logic 6 Express and want to upgrade to Logic 9 Express? Then yes. Only if you're sure you have and want Express, and not Logic Pro. I doubt you spent 600 quid on Logic Express, though. Are you sure you don't have Logic 6 Platinum or Logic 6 Pro? What does your splash screen say when you run Logic? triplets
Do you pay VAT in amazon.uk? Just asking to see which vendor is cheaper. But the upgrade you mentioned in the link is correct.
