balthazar
Total freeze-up around 15-20 tracks. No plug-ins. 1.8ghz Imac G5, 1.5 gigs RAM; 7.3Lacie Firewire drive; Presonus Firewpod. (Logic 7) OS 10.4.3 I've heard the OS is maybe part of the problem? 44k files are not a problem at all... Any thoughts? Thanks
lwilliam
What does the System Performance meter show for CPU and disk utilization?
balthazar
consistently high--higher as tracks come into play and eventually frozen with the warning. Audio usage looks good, by the way. Purely a cpu problem.

Delete All unused tracks and then refer to you manual and look up how to freeze tracks and then try freezing all your tracks. Look at your System Performance before and after you do this procedure. The freeze function saved me from buying a new Mac. Also what is the Speed of your hard drive? 7200 is recommended. Do you also have the latest version of Logic? 7.2.3 (I think) Mark
