Lawson
I'm mixing my track in stereo and everything is going great, I have my mono tracks where I want them in the panoramic stereo field, and everything sounds good. Now, I want to briefly listen to my track in mono (without doing a bounce) so that I can check phase relationships and levels, etc. When I make the output track a mono output track, all tracks stay in their place in the stereo field. Shouldn't everything come right down the middle if I'm actually mixing in mono? How do I monitor in mono? Thank you, Lawson
David Nahmani
When you make the output track a mono output track it only controls the left signal. It doesn't make the mix a mono mix! You want to use the stereo 'Gain' plug-in and click on the 'mono' button in that plug-in.
Cliveyboy
I have a gain plug-in (bypassed) that is set to mono permanently inserted on my master out for this exact reason. If I want to check mono compatibilty then I just activate the plug-in.
