mikeebruno
hi ! sorry, nothing to offer, I'm learning logic ...but need that synth sound used in trance thecno... a Pad, most of the time a square wave with a sequenced motif in motion, tempo sync, made with eather filters, delays, arpegiator... the kind of sound that you hold a chord an a hole rhythm comes along. verry groovy... i think you get an ideal. What synth is good for that. how can I get an exemple ? thanks million time.

David Nahmani
That sound can often be produced using sidechaining techniques. A good drum loop into a synth can produce cool rythmic effects. Jope
Talking about sidechaining: Try a vocoder (EVOC 20 PS). You can use it whith a microphone. Play a chord, but instead of speaking into the mic, cautiously drum on it with your fingers, so you can vary rhythm and color of the chord in a wide range. Any noise is converted to the harmonic sound given by your chord. But you don't have to stick to the microphone, other audio signals like audio tracks or output of other audio instruments will do for EVOC's sidechain input.
