SleepMaps
so i used to be an avid fruity looper and i liked how i could use one simple sound as a root, then use the piano roll in one track and shift the pitch of that original sound across multiple octaves. the closest thing I've seen is at the bottom of ultra beat or using the hyper editor but all of those means require dragging bars up and down on each individual midi instance. i want to use a piano roll to shift the pitches. is this possible? fader8
Sure. Sampling 101! Insert an EXS24 on an instrument track. Click Edit on the top right. Drag your sample from the Finder or browser onto the key where you want its natural pitch to play. Then extend the blob that shows up left and right to set the keyboard range. That's it. If you want to keep it, save the instrument before closing the editor. Now you can sequence it on that instrument track.
CH76
Yep you will get full piano roll control with ESX24
