Oxygen
Hey whats up people, I'm a pretty bad keyboard player, although I can usually piece together what I want. Me issue recently has been my inability to play notes evenly, at the same (or even close) to the same velocity. Is there a way to set it so no matter how I hard I hit the notes on the keyboard, they will play the same? Can I do this after the notes are recorded. I am also using Reason rewire, so the tracks are midi instrument tracks, does this make a difference? Any help or advice is appreciated, thanks![/img]
AMVweekly
yeah .you have to select all midi notes in the piano roll. and hold ALT(option) and drag the velocity all the way to 1 or 127. that will make them all equal and you can now adjust to your desired velocity. redlogic
Select the desired notes. Hold Shift + Option. Grab one of the notes with the Velocity Tool and move up or down to adjust all to the same velocity. (No need to go all the way to 1 or 127 first.) camillo jr
What redlogic said except after selecting all the notes, put the velocity tool on any note first and then use Option-Shift. If you do the velocity tool last, the note you choose to click on to adjust the velocities will be unaffected by the change because that note gets deselected. Twister
Also, most midi keyboards that i have used can be programmed to send static velocity data. Saves me from the trouble of post-editing.
