UPMUSIC
Hi. I have exported midi from my reason 5 project and imported it into my logic pro 9 project. the notes and automation data associated with the instruments from reason i.e. NN-XT sampler show up great in the logic project. the automation (which was just a gain adjustment in the NN-XT) shows up in the hyper editor, and on the midi track in my logic pro project. the thing is i don't see the automation effecting the new instrument that i am using in logic pro: (Kontakt 5). how do i assign that automation data to control the gain of the midi channel in Konakt 5 that the midi is now triggering? thanks mc
karp47
The automation is linked to the region. You can view the specific hyper draw activity on the actual region by selecting the region, then going to view>hyperdraw>volume, from there you should be able to right click on the region, go to automation and select "move region automation to track" See how that goes. fader8
Kontakt supports automating parameters with MIDI cc's, but you must assign them manually within Kontakt first. Go to the automation tab->MIDI (not Host) and drag the cc# you need to the parameter you want it to control.
