mrnabo
Hi Nigel, I'll give the daisy-chaining a go, just concerned as Apogee states that the Duet I carry around with me when traveling doesn't support nor recommend daisy-chaining: http://www.apogeedigital.com/duet-support-faqs.php Until that Thunderbolt hub comes out though, I guess I'm stuffed. Thanks for the advice though, will check out the daisy-chaining in the meantime regardless. Cheers, Cato
n6smith
Hi Cato, Ah.. yes... I see what you mean about Apogee's warning... Did you also notice a couple of items up that they also do not recommend using a hub too? (Cinema Display Firewire Hub references..) Guess the Duet is a bit sensitive.... lookatthisguy
Not sure how many of us have a Duet on here, but it should be fine. I've never read any posts where that was an issue, and I've never experienced anything myself. The way I see it, you're only recording at most 2 channels at once on a pretty damn robust computer, and I get the sense that the FW bus isn't as fragile as they're warning. Though I'm sure someone will come along and say otherwise if I'm wrong.
