Rev. Juda Sleaze
It's a small niggle, but there is a short echo when using Superior in Low Latency Mode. It can affect timings slightly when playing in beats with keyboard. Anyone else experience this? Couldn't find anything about it on the ToonTrack forums. redlogic
Before I made that reply, I started with an Empty Project and set up a multi-output instance of Superior Drummer. Then I created an extra Aux channel strip and inserted a UAD 1176. I turned up pre-fader sends from the Superior Instrument channel strip and the Superior Auxes to the 1176 Aux. (parellel compession set up) Here, if Plug-in Latency Compensation is set to Audio and Software Instrument Tracks, I get flamming because the Auxes aren't latency compensated. (whether Low Latency Mode is on or off) If I switch Plug-in Latency Compensation to All, I don't get the flamming when Low Latency Mode is on. My Low Latency Mode Limit was set to 0 ms. With Plug-in Latency Compensation set to All: With Limit set from 0 to 23 ms, Low Latency Mode deactivates the sends (no signal to the 1176 Aux) and I get no flamming. From 24 to 30 ms Low Latency Mode re-activates the sends and I get signal to the 1176 Aux with no flamming. With Plug-in Latency Compensation set to Audio and Software Instrument Tracks: I get signal to the 1176 Aux with flamming in Low Latency Mode with Limit set from 0 to 30 ms (no effect) What plug-ins are you using and where are you using them? What is your Low Latency Mode Limit setting?
Rev. Juda Sleaze
No plugins, limit set to 5ms. I'll try with 0ms and report back. Thanks for the reply.
Rev. Juda Sleaze
It only happens when playing or recording. Happens with 16bit samples too. I upped the buffer from 32 to 64 and it doesn't flam anymore. I'll record my drum parts at this buffer setting from now on. Any ideas what is causing it? redlogic
I've had it choke at 32 samples also. It didn't sound like flamming though. More like.............slow-motion cats in heat.....with lasers  I guess it's just more than it can handle. 64 or 128 usually works fine though. Rev. Juda Sleaze
slow-motion cats in heat.....with lasers  Wow, you should record that! That kind of noise makes some kind of (weird) sense though, I would've thought flamming would take more computer juice to create Anyway, it's a painless enough solution, thanks for helping!
