alonbond
hi, the youtube tutorials aren't very helpful about this. how can i extract the vocals from a simple mp3 file (without the instrumental) so i can use them in a different project? thanks in advacne
David Nahmani
Depending on the mix, this is most probably impossible to do perfectly, and very very challenging to get any kind of usable result. Extracting individual elements from a mix is is almost like asking extracting individual ingredients (flour, butter, eggs) from a baked cake. Pretty much impossible. If you want to experiment you can, here's a thread where we discuss how to extract the instrumental from a mix, and later in the thread we mention how you would go about extracting the vocals only from the mix. But don't expect any kind of miracles: Separate beat and vocals

I would have to agree, with that said with some digging you might be able to find the vocals or even better yet the multitrack. It is super crazy how many are available.
