Bend range less than a semitone on EXS24?

Hey guys, I'm working with the Chinese Ruan Moon Guitar, and I'm trying to get a sort of more naturaly sound out of it with the bend, but I'm pushing the bend a bit to much and I really don't like that sound... Is there a way to make the bend less than a semitone on the EXS24? 50 cent range would be nice... 25 cent range would be even better. Thanks me hearties!

Set the EXS's pitch bend range to 1 semitone. The, in the modulation matrix set up a slot as follows:

 

Source: pitch bend

Destination: pitch

Depth: -50 (you can achieve that value by holding shift as you move the slider down)

 

That'll give you approx. a 1/4 tone bend. From there you can adjust the depth amount to taste.

 

Another alternative is to set the pitch bend to 1 semitone and develop technique on the pitch bender so that you only bend partway to get the bends sounding authentic (this is my preference).

Thanks my beloved Ski. Never really noticed that that could be set on the modulation matrix, didn´t know there was a pitch bend source. Happy New Years to you Ski, and to you my man Beer Moth!

 

I see 50 cents works better than 25, 25 just isn´t enough to make a notable pitch bend to people who´s ears aren´t trained to enjoy the delicacy of microtonal music. Thanks again me´ hearties!
