johnl
Hi Everyone Logic is loading most of my songs twice when i first load them. I'm running it with a motu828mkii. When i check what's going on in the activit;y monitor i can see it slowly loading all the ram for the 32 bit bridge and logic, once it finnishes, it starts over and then the song loads. Waste of time etc... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks john
David Nahmani
Hi Johnl, Logic is loading most of my songs twice when i first load them. How do you know that? When i check what's going on in the activit;y monitor i can see it slowlyloading all the ram for the 32 bit bridge and logic, once it finnishes, it starts over and then the song loads. So you're describing: - loading the 32 bit bridge - loading Logic - loading the song Where is your song loading twice?
johnl
Thanks for your response. I think i've mistated the issue. It's going through the process of loading the ram needed for the 32 bit bridge and the song in logic twice. It goes through the entire process of slowly loading the ram for the bridge and the song once, then does it a second time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Jope
This is what Logic does when I launch it. It loads the song, the plugin settings and samples, then looks as if it were ready for use, but after two or three seconds it seems to reset the audio engine and reloads several stuff like samples, this time faster (I think due to caches). When I close a song (but not Logic) and load another song, there is no such behaviour, it happens only immediately after lauching Logic. Because of low interest I didn't investigate any further (what does it do if you force Logic to launch without loading a song and then load a song etc.). I run Logic in 32Bit mode, version and system see below.
johnl
Similar here, except mine does it whether it's the first song i load after i open logic or not. My tracks are large often 120 plus with many plugins so the process takes minutes and is tedious etc... Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. john
