LoFi
Do you see activity on the meters on your Output 1-2 channel? If yes, then something must be wrong with your drivers / hardware. What interface do you use? Try "built-in" and see if that works?
Boyki
I have a problem with this too. I'm using Logic 6.3.1 in OS X, on a Powerbook, and I'm trying to trigger sounds on the Mac's internal GM soundset. Now, I've done this before so I know it's possible, but I've loaded up an old Logic session which used to work, and it doesn't any more. I've gone to the OS X Audio/MIDI setup and made sure the IAC Driver is online, but that crashes Logic. With the IAC Driver NOT online, Logic will play the song but there is no sound. There is no movement on the meters in Logic. Any ideas?
Boyki
How embarrassing, I just discovered that I hadn't routed the Multi to the Quicktime sounds. That'll be why I wasn't hearing anything. Idiot!

LoFi
Isn't *Environment* the finest thing ever ? 8) Yeah but once you get it, doesn't that make you feel ultra-smart?
pantomimeHorse
Yeah but once you get it, doesn't that make you feel ultra-smart? Yeah. Environment had me fooled for a while. I thought, "Why do I need to do all this stuff when I've already given myself indigestion using AudioMIDI Setup and dragging virtual cables across the screen til it looks like a freeway intersection ?" Then the penny rolled home: In Environment, you can connect anything to anything else. It's the perfect jackfield and it never gets tarnished contacts.
