joshuac
Hello. I can see how to duplicate a comp, but suppose I wanted to make a copy of the comp that was flattened and merged, without changing the original files and comp. Basically, I want to copy the comp into a new merged audio file without changing anything in the project. Ideally, I would put this new audio file into the Bin window. David Nahmani
Option-drag the take folder to make copy. This allows you to keep the original take folder exactly as it is and where it is in the project. Now flatten & merge the copy.
joshuac
When I option-dragged the take folder, it did make a copy, but the audio files inside the take folder had exactly the same names, and there were no additional audio files in the Bin window. It seems that, if I were to edit them, it would alter the original files, no?
David Nahmani
No: Arrange editing, including editing and flattening take folders, is non-destructive: the original audio files are untouched.
