David Nahmani
Does the glass of red wine change the sound of the reverb? Do you get stronger sounds with shiraz, lighter sounds with pinot? 0--> Congrats on your purchase, sounds like fun!!

tristancalvaire
I've always been curious about these type of things. Is the point of the product to create an acoustic reverb in its (relatively) small environment then record the signal and continue it onwards? shivermetimbers
That model is 16 bit, isn't it?

Is the point of the product to create an acoustic reverb in its (relatively) small environment then record the signal and continue it onwards? Exactly. I used to work in a place where they had entire rooms in the basements set up for natural reverb. HUGE rooms, a couple of pairs of mics, a pair of speakers at the other end, and a "send" knob on your desk to send your audio in that room. Incredible. That one is a smaller model of course. Rev. Juda Sleaze
David, that reminded me of the first use of adding reverb post-recording, I saw it on a documentary a while back, pretty interesting stuff. I found this short piece about it: "The first use of artificial reverb. It was none other than Bill Putnam, Sr., founder of Universal Audio, who pioneered the use of artificial reverb in recordings in 1947. Putnam converted his studio’s bathroom to create one of the first purpose-built echo chambers, placing a speaker in one corner and a microphone in another, and mixing the sound with a live recording. The unique sound of his Universal Records label’s first recording, “Peg o’ My Heart” by The Harmonicats, was a runaway hit, and Putnam went on to design reverb chambers for his studios in Chicago and Los Angeles." - http://distantcityrecording.com/reverb-the-basics/ Congratulations on your new toy route-electrique! If I had the money and the space, I'd have a ton of these (though I do sometimes record in my bathroom to get that slappy tile verb)

route-electrique
Thanks dudes!. It's just this time/phase i'm going through now. I love the 60-70's soul sound, and to get there, it's just best get things what were used back in the day. Having room for echo chamber would be so cool, especially when you can affect the sound with different choice of microphones and even do extra movable walls in the chamber. There are loads of other cool springs out there, first time i put EWQLSO Strings throught my Space Echo without delay, meters red and little bit spring there, i was hooked!. Probably going to write about this also in our new blog we go live. Some guys even use the normal choice of their reverb plugin, and then send that to hardware spring reverb. Lots of ground to cover. rhys
I don't know how much that was but I used to have a HH amp that had a spring reverb, I checked them out on eBay and you can pick em up for £50 !! Maybe some use to someone if you like that kind of thing.
