How do iPad apps accomplish multi-track recording?

So there are now a few iPad apps for multi-tracking since the apps & interfaces are Class Compliant.

 

You have say 5 people performing into a RME Fireface UCX or other interface and all tracks are being tracked into your iPad DAW of choice all at the same time via camera kit. (FWIW Garage Band only lets you record one track at a time).

 

I was wondering how this is accomplished technically.

It's exactly the same as tracking into Logic.

What is it more specifically you want t know?
