JCcares
I would like to know what the actual usage of the Limiter plug in is.To my understanding,it limits the volume level of a channel from going beyond the set limit. But I read somewhere that folks use it to boos their volume levels without cliping. Is this possible? Please correct me if I'm wrong.Do I use ot at the Master output or on a channel strip? A little explanation could sure help.Thanks.
Rev. Juda Sleaze
Peak levels and perceived loudness are not the same thing. You can limit wherever you want, it depends what effect you are looking for. Bear in mind that limiting distorts the wave shape of sounds, it cannot simply make stuff louder. There are no set rules about music, if you make your question more specific you will get more specific answers. Hope that helps.

shivermetimbers
With and without limiter(s) The top half is with limiters and the bottom half is without. Both sound about the same volume wise.
