On the fly splitting keeps disabling

Hi guys,

 

I'm having my on the fly split at playhead feature keep disabling on me. Is it something I am pressing or where I am selected in the arrange window? Because when I restart the splitting works again while playing the file.

 

for reference i'm referring to the "\" key to cut the audio file, and the correct audio track is selected.

You just have to make sure whatever region you want to split at the playhead position is selected when you're using the key command.

 

If the region currently under the playhead is not selected, using \ will deselect whatever region(s) is (are) selected and you won't be able to use it again unless you reselect a region first.

ah okay that helped me identify the problem. It seems that when another track is armed to record and you listen to a playback, you can't split tracks. Is there a workaround for this? Or do I have to disarm the record every time?
