Chopping samples multiple times.

I am trying to chop part of a sample again and it wont let me, I've made multiple chops but im trynna make smaller chops within those chops.

How are you chopping? Scissors? Marquee? Cropping? Split by playhead?.... etc.

i actually dont know (im using the \ key to chop) and what happens is it doesnt chop or split it just stays as is

You are using Split by playhead

 

Have you tried setting a different Snap value (like Ticks)? You can also use the control key when positioning the playhead, to get a resolution that's one step smaller than the set Snap value.

illmatic, always make sure the region is selected before using \. Otherwise nothing will happen.
