lcheadle
I'm scoring a 30 second commercial. I want to align the grid to a specific frame several seconds into the video file so that a down beat falls exactly on that frame. The tempo will be the same throughout. Thanks
ski
Assuming that you have gotten Logic's timecode counter to agree with the timecode burn in your picture... For sake of argument, let's say you want bar 3 to be aligned with the specific frame. Open the sychronization window. You'll see a field that says: bar 1 1 1 1 plays at __(a timecode number)__ Set this to read: bar 3 1 1 1 plays at __(the timecode number of your specific frame)__
steveH
Set your start tempo. Create and drag a marker to the sync point in the video... and beat map the marker track to the closest bar, beat or division that is the closest to the hit point. Of course this may change the tempo either a little or a lot depending on how far you drag the grid! If you absolutely have to place this hit a the beginning of a bar you can alter or insert time signatures to get the hit right on beat one. Or you can do it ski's way....
