M Audio keystation pro 88 stopped...

OK, i got this thing free, but im still moaning.... Basically it occasionally stops working, all the light's are on and stuff but it just doesn't activate anything from logic... the knob's still send cc info...

 

Its happened before and i've just pressed thing's for ages and eventually somethings happened, but that doesn't seem to have worked this time. I was just wondering if anyone else used it and knew what it could be off the top of their heads?

What are you trying to activate in Logic?

 

Are MIDI notes received by Logic? I mean if you press keys on the Axiom, do you see MIDI data in the MIDI input monitor in the transport bar?

no nothing david.... but i think after two days of bashing i found it - you have ( i think ) to select Zone Range, then press the highest note you want to use, then press the lowest note.... Now that zone will operate to and between those notes....

 

Sounds pretty obvious i know but i have no idea why it suddenly decided i didn't want to use ANY of the notes!
