Dannyboy
I have a geat piano take from a friend and I want to edit the midi file a bit. However it shows up as a white region, not the usual green and the events don't match the time grid. I've tried setting the project at the original tempo he recorded it at but the events don't match the tempo at all. I think for some reason it missed getting a time stamp on his end (nuendo). Is there any way I can salvage it on my end? Because I want to change the tempod, I need it to follow the grid somewhat. Thank you!
Eric Cardenas
I believe that a white MIDI region only is the default colour for External tracks. Can you provide a screen shot?
David Nahmani
He gave you a MIDI file (.mid or .midi extension)? If that's the case, make sure you open it in Logic (File > Open) and not import it (File > Import). When you open a MIDI file it sets the Logic project tempo to the tempo of the MIDI file.
