Oliverboysee
Hi, I'm running Logic Pro 9 on a PowerMac Dual 1.8 ghz with 6 gig of Ram. I'm using an Alesis io2 as my interface, and a Novation Impulse 61 keyboard. Everything runs fine. However, I recently tried to record a vocal and some electro acoustic guitar using the input on my io2. All I seem to get is a buzzing/crackling sound instead of either a vocal or a guitar strum sound?? Is there something that I should be doing re settings, that I'm not? Or could it be a hardware issue? As a vocalist it's becoming frustrating to know that I can't complete my tracks indoors, and yet it could possibly be something simple that needs to be applied. Thanks, Joe
triplets
Does it happen with another mic? if yes, could be an issue with the interface or a bad cable. Where are you recording to? System drive? Another internal or external?
Oliverboysee
Hi, Yep, I've tried it with 3 different mics and as many cables, both in the line and mic inputs. It all goes to my system drive. I had a feeling that it might be a software issue with my io2. I'm wondering where I can possibly download a software update, if that is indeed what I may need? michael2
latency issue maybe. try changing the buffer size. I have a problem like that when the buffer is set wrong, sounds exactly as you are describing it.
