ruidasilva
hi there, i have a question running a session with drums on track 1,2,3,4 (kick, snare, hats, ride) no plugins (instrument drum kits from garage band) then on a separate track i had same drums all in one track same instrument going thru a chain of plugins (decapitator, tube tech CL1B, Amp designer) if i try to blend the dry and the processed channel i get flanging should this be happening? triplets
You get flanging because it's the same sounds, plus the exact same panning, creating phasing issues (canceling frequencies). Happens when you have more than one identical source, in this case, drum samples playing identical music. If you had latency issues, you would get the flam effect, you would hear two hits, instead of one.
ruidasilva
i'm aware of what you saying but its not what is in play here. it does not happen when i remove the amp plugin? something else is happening here.. like the plugin compensation is being compromised
triplets
Do you have plugin compensation set to All in Logic's preferences? If not, it should.

triplets
What happens if you put the amp designer in a different spot in the chain?
