Using Pan in Hyper Editor

Thanks David and Jordito.

I take it there's no way of panning individual events in the Hyper Editor?

An alternate method I've been using to pan individual events from the Hyper Editor is by copying (let's say, the Kick Drum) into the Piano Roll > creating a new track > creating empty MIDI region (by right clicking in the track), and then back in the Piano Roll > Paste at Original Position. This gives me the liberty of manipulating each event.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

It's not the Hyper Editor, it's the way the MIDI standard works. You control the panning of the instrument, or the channel, not the panning of individual MIDI events. Much like the pan knob on a mixer: it controls the panning of a channel strip, but you don't have control over the panning of every note an instrument plays through that channel strip.

So yes, if you want different panning values for different events you'll need to have the events on different tracks triggering different instruments.
