silvergroover
Hi there, I dont know how you guys are dealing with this, but when I am comping down ideas I dont evidently have a title for the prospective song. Therefore, I usually give the current date as projectname. Now that my ideas are seemingly becoming a song, I would like to give it a proper name. So how can I change the whole project's name? Thanx! reddog
You can also just double click (slowly, otherwise you'll open the file) on the name of the project file icon and the icon of the folder that it's in type in the name change.
Doug Z
Kind of depends where you are in your computer. If you're not running Logic it may be faster to rename in a finder window as reddog mentioned. This used to create problems with the program not seeing the newly named file. Fortunately it's not the case anymore, at least from what I've seen. If you're running Logic, the advantage of David's method is you have the choice to rename the project file, folder, or both. I find it an extremely useful feature at times when I am not blessed with forethought or am recovering from a bout of indecisiveness.
