Using a vci-100 as an external midi controller & soundcard

Hey

 

Please forgive me if this is a daft idea, but can i use a vestax vci 100 mk2 as an external midi control to control the parameteres on a plug in such as say the autofilter?

 

Also, can it be used as an external soundcard? it has one built in........

If it sends MIDI when turning knobs/faders then you can use it as a controller to remote control parameters of any Logic plug-ins, and the Mixer's volume fader, pan knobs, solo and mute.

Yes I think it does send MIDI as it is a MIDI controller........ wicked!

 

The vci - 100 mk2 has a built in soundcard, do you know if this can be used as my soundcard for logic aswell? I was thinking about going for a Traktor Audio 4 but hopefully i can kill 2 birds with one stone with the vci

It depends if the built-in soundcard is only for the VCI sounds, or if it also allows you to access audio inputs and outputs on the VCI to connect other devices. Contact the manufacturer and ask them?

i have been in contact with vestax and have been informed that the vci can be used as a sound card for logic
