noisenet
Sometimes when working on something in Logic I find it helpful to take a look at a previous project, to see how I achieved a certain result, or even to see what my fader levels were on something. It's kind of a pain, though, to close the project I'm working on, open the prior project, note whatever I'm noting, or take a screen grab, close that project, reopen the current project, get back to work.... Recently I discovered that, when saving a project in Logic, if you open the mixer tab (not the standalone mixer window, but the tab, or simply hit the 'X' key) before saving the project - the image file that's saved with the project file (for use by Quicklook) includes the mixer. So if I want to reference what I did on a track in a particular project, I simply open Finder, navigate to that project file, highlight it and hit the spacebar on my keyboard. Voila, there's the mixer! Of course if your project contains a large number of channel strips, more than will fit in one screen width, you can only view one screen width. Still, this can be very helpful, at least to those of us who still reference previous projects
Eriksimon
Nice tip - shouldn't it go to the Tips & Trick section... ?

noisenet
Ummmm, duh LOL! Thanks fellas. BTW - an addendum to this tip... If you have multiple windows open, the window with current focus (on which you've most recently clicked) will be what's shown in the Quicklook preview pic...
