scribe
How can one use Region Based Automation to control a plug-in parameter? For instance to control the cutoff frequency of the filter in the ES E synth? This is easy in TBA (Track Based Automation) as it is already defined, but how do you do it for RBA? I get this menu (see below) when I select "other" in HyperDraw but these offerings for the ES E (ES E#9 etc...) must not be assigned to anything as the hyperdraw data I draw after selecting one doesn't seem to do anything. scribe
OK, I just tried recording with MIDI selected and then use HyperDraw:autodefine to get the graphics and that worked, but still wondering about selecting ahead of time and what the ES E#9 etc... stuff is... David Nahmani
I either use the MIDI mode of automation or TBA and then convert to RBA. Then to access the settings I use the key command Hyperdraw: Autodefine. It's a little cryptic, but I don't know of a more straightforward way. RBA isn't really meant to control plug-in parameters (although it works fine, but it's just a little odd to setup).
scribe
Thanks as always David. Just trying all the possibilities. Ty Still wondering about the HyperDraw window options above...
