I had to punch in a quick part, so I used the marquee tool to select the region, then recorded over it. This brought up the red punch bar at the top of the window. Now I'd like to go back to recording freely across the project, but I can't get figure out how to get rid of the bar to allow that. Thanks in advance. Solution David Nahmani Posted September 8, 2013 Solution Share Posted September 8, 2013 Here are 3 different ways to remove the red punch bar: The default U.S. key command to toggle Autopunch mode is Control + Option + Command + P. Command + Option + click the lower 1/2 of the ruler.
